He will perform it

Today is the 15th. It is time for another memory verse. I have chosen Philippians 1:6 in KJV . "Being confident of this very thing, that He which began a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ."

I am still chewing on this verse. Paul says that he is confident of this very thing.

1. God has began a good work in us.

2. That he will perform it until...

That makes it sound like an ongoing process to me. Does it you? He is still working on me with this good work He began.

Italic

3. until the day of Jesus Christ.

That is when this work will be complete. Let's never forget that the Christian life is a process that begins when we accept Christ as our Savior and continues until we are at home with Him. This is called sanctification. The continually cleansing in our lives is to make us more like Him. Romans 8 :28& 29 tell us "all things work together for good to them that love God , to them who are the called according to His purpose," vs. 29 says "to be conformed to the image of His Son."

Pray for one another this week. as we each continue on this journey. Realize that God is still performing His perfect work in each of us.

Blessings,

Linda
